Lebanon is no longer the same. Since October 17 2019, people have taken the streets to express their refusal of the pervasive corruption among the political ruling class, and its direct bearings on the Lebanese people’s ability to live and survive in the country. Like most of us Lebanese, be in locals or expats, we spent hours glued to our TV channels ans social media outlets, fear of missing out on any shred of developments. Children partook in the protests, on the streets,even from home. They of course are curious and pose endless threads of questions, seeking to understand this new and unfamiliar reality around them. The Psychological First Aid team*, who were on the ground to support protesters, compiled a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that children often address to their parents, and how to best answer them.
