How To Develop Positive Mental Health?

It is important to know that like we have a physical health, we also have a mental health. And like we take care of our physical health, we should promote our mental health and wellbeing to live a full and happy life. Here how:
What is good for your physical health is also good for your mental health
- Exercise: 30 minutes/ day of exercise that increases your heart rate
- Sleep: 8-9 hours each night for teenagers
- Relaxation techniques: 5-10 minutes, 3 times/day of deep breathing, meditation or mindfulness
- Time management: daily agenda, schedule, check list…
- Eat healthy: try to not skip a meal and stay away from junk food
- Limit/avoid alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine and avoid drugs including marijuana (cannabis)
- Healthy relationships: with people you can trust and talk to, to find support, but also people you are ready to listen to them, as helping others is good as well. End any toxic, abusive relationship
- Hobbies: music, painting, drawing, museum visits (art in general), reading, writing, hiking, team activities, sports…
- Volunteer activities: are a good source of happiness
