  2. Mental disorders are treated with medications and  psychotherapy. However, diet, exercise and a regular sleep cycle are helpful and considered in a holistic approach

  4. Suicide is the result of complex social, cultural, religious and socio-economic factors in addition to mental disorders
  5. Mental disorders arise from a complex interaction between genetic and environmental factors. Mental illness are not caused by poor nutrition, neither are:
  • The consequences of poor parenting or bad behaviour
  • The result of personal weakness or deficits in personality
  • The manifestation of malevolent spiritual intent
  • Caused by poverty or lifestyle choice
