“Imagine that a beloved one has suicidal thoughts. They are not joking; they will attempt suicide; they will succeed or they will fail; they will even try many times.
Firstly, you will surely panic
You will be paralyzed by fear and denial. But immediately after, you will be aware that your console and cheer can play a vital part to stop them.
You own life will be catastrophically interrupted; but it doesn’t matter; their breath is your air to keep you alive yourself
Secondly, you will be broken down
But you will reach resilience, learning how to cope with both struggles.
You will be their hope and strength
Please take them seriously and reach out a healthcare professional, a family member, a friend or call the Lebanese Suicide Prevention Hotline, Embrace: 1564.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help
