Summer is a great time to get involved with a cause you care about and get your voices heard.

Advocacy and working on projects will have an impact on people lives, but also will boost your resumes

Here the ways to get involved:

1- Pick a cause

2- Do some researches about the missions of organizations in your area

3- Get some information about the topic itself

4- Organize it, and create spaces for learning and discussions. Start small:

  • Start a group by your own
  • Create a chapter of an existing organization
  • Hold an event: gathering with some friends
  • Raise funds and donate it to the organization

5- Share your story with the community, media, social media, etc.

  • Identify your skills: public speaking, writing, blogging, video, marketing, communications, etc.
  • Learn how to write a press release
  • Learn to lobby: it’s about doing anything to make your voices heard by political leaders and to make them take action
